3 Julia Roberts classic rom-coms to watch this summer

I am listing my top three favourite Julia Roberts' rom-com movies, that is a must watch for summer 2023! These movies will have you romanticising your life and make you a big Julia Roberts fan, if you aren't already.

Pretty Woman (1990)

This film is about a hooker named Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) who meets a wealthy guy named Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) on the streets of Los Angeles one night. He develops feelings for Vivian and pays her a fee to accompany him to business and social activities. However, during the week, they start to form a bond and their agreement starts to flourish into something more. It's a beautiful watch with beautiful 90's fashion and idyllic scenes that will make your heart skip a beat.

Runaway Bride (1999)
Follows the same main actors as the previous film mentioned... Julia Roberts, of course, but also Richard Gere, who plays a big city journalist. Gere character Graham hears a story about a woman who gets engaged several times only to run away from the altar on the day of the wedding, she just can't seem to commit and fears it on the big day. He goes to her home town to write a report on her instead but begins to fall in love with her instead.

Notting Hill (1999)
Based in London, UK, William Thacker (Hugh Grant), a British bookseller, meets a high-profile American actress in his bookstore in Notting Hill West London. Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) takes an interest in him when they meet for the first time, and so does William; they begin to date, introduce and include each other in their worlds, but it proves difficult, and their relationship begins to experience some turbulence due to their different social status. It features incredibly picturesque London scenes and some memorable lines. "I am just a girl, standing in front of a boy..."

My favourite Julia Roberts' movie is Pretty Woman (1990).
I first watched it 30 years ago and so many times afterwards.
It still remains my favourite movie of all time.
