Wellness, for me, involves taking care of my mental and physical well-being by pursuing activities that bring me joy and better health. I've found that when I immerse myself in activities I enjoy, it significantly uplifts my mood, alleviates life's stresses, and provides a profound sense of comfort.
Music has recently played a pivotal role in enhancing my mental wellbeing. Sometimes, I yearn for moments of solitude and introspection, and music has become an outlet to connect with my emotions and a place of solace from my consuming thoughts. The music can range anywhere from cheerful and upbeat tunes to more sombre melodies. In essence, music serves as a multifaceted tool for managing and enhancing my mental well-being.
Reading became a personal mission for me in 2021, and I managed to read around 5-6 books that year. While I'm not as voracious a reader now, I still indulge in books when the mood strikes. The storytelling and narration at times can really captivate me, making it hard to put a good book down.
Self-pampering is another important aspect of my wellness. Whether it's taking a relaxing bath, applying a face mask, or simply tending to my appearance, these activities boost my self-esteem, especially during low moments, and they need not be expensive.
Exercise is a variable in my wellness journey, but I strive to incorporate it into my routine, as much as I can. Whether it's a brisk walk or a quick 30-minute home workout. Regular exercise not only boosts my energy but also contributes to a healthier lifestyle.
Despite being a homebody, I've discovered the benefits of getting out of the house. Meeting friends and engaging in activities has been refreshing and liberating. It reminds me of the vast world waiting to be explored and excites me about the adventures life has to offer beyond the confines of my own space.
