The romanticism of life

I would now say I've entered what is known as the 'real world', and it's definitely interesting, to say the least. I've learned many brutal truths and had to face some rejections, but there is another part of the real world I don't think gets talked about enough. Yes, life is hard, and as I began to assume real-life duties, I discerned that very quickly, but being the author of how I want my life to be, I can write ways to make it less challenging and a bit better. It is essential to fit time for me, to pick up hobbies, go out with friends and family, meet people, not be afraid to speak to someone who could possibly change my life, to look at nature or the beautifully designed skyscrapers on my way home from work, and eat my favourite meal. Life is actually to be romanticised.

It is not over until it is over.

Today is all about the subject of perseverance. Over the last month or so, I've been extremely busy with my studies and I feel like it is never-ending. Even though the days are growing closer to the deadline, it is not over until it is over! I am so busy and consumed with my coursework that I am overwhelmed, and at times I do not feel to push on forward and complete the work I have to do. Even though I'm getting closer, it just seems so far away.

The point in my life where I can relate to Elena Gilbert from the Vampire Diaries.

If anyone reading this has watched the vampire diaries, you all know who Elena Gilbert is. When I first started watching the vampire diaries at 13, I found Elena very annoying. I felt like she always played victim even though everyone around her was legit risking their lives and dying so that she could be alive and have the life she desired. Even as I would re-watch the show, sometimes I couldn't even get past a couple of seasons because I was reminded of how annoying Elena was. Now, this is like my millionth time watching, and for the first time ever, I can actually relate to Elena and finally understand her. It takes being in a particular place in life to realise everyone is alike.
